Hegemony

Have you ever hoped for
luxuriant rivers, that invoke
Unbounded joys in a
Diversity of tribes
Exuberant faces, diamond smiles;
But only
of incy-mincy children, from ebony and caramel gold to ivory?
The blood that runs young
and strong
are contorted in, fishy faces
flashing smiles of farce-ness. The workforce, a lulled
contraction of voluntary misery.

Oh but the,

Ornamented facades, artfully
seize a cryptic harmony
In melancholy,
these buildings raise spirits, reasonably exquisitely
carved. Ethereal, heavenly
abodes in the Mediterranean October sunshine.
Avenues galore.

A single look deeply.
One discovers the resulting
effects of prolonged inter-breeding
as diseased as those
unwanted genes
Xenophobia,
wastelands of anoxia. Burgeoning
with accumulated toxicity.

A single foreign element.
Undersized and unapologetic.
Initially, reportedly,
meek and submissively
dispositioned.
Finding
itself amidst the maze of total and complete horse-shit. Daring
to make a scratch on the surface,
peeking. It reveals its sickening bureaucracy.
Omnipresent, from the sciences of education to the arts of travelling and the business of making friends.
The cracking
fissures visible. Bursting!

Top-down.
Tumble-down.
Shattering,
like a castle of murky
glass. Walking,
footsteps crunching
the foreign element, bleeds
contentedly.

A single consequence.
Where does the overflowing
river from a thunderstorm go? It floods it’s banks, descending,
uproariously.
Annihilating all in its path.
Enlivening its environment refreshing its surroundings.
Calmed only by the nourishing sea.
