Destiny and desires I

I was born with nothing. And I will leave with nothing. Then what, I ask, is the point of living? Trudging through the mysteries, boggles and trysts of life. Buddha has a suggestion- The purpose is to end suffering. Neitzsche contemplates- I know of no better life purpose than to perish attempting the great and the impossible.  (On suffering) to live is to suffer, to survive is to find meaning in the suffering. But how do you "find meaning". How do you "end suffering", that of others and of yourself? What is the distribution of role between destiny and free will in finding this meaning? What is the likelihood of you stumbling upon a purpose? Or is it more likely that you have to pursue it with conscious and extensive research and experience.  How do you orchestrate your own destiny? Simply wishing for it and praying for it may not bring it to fruition.                  Let me take a step back ...
