The Good Heart

Image
In laughter and in crime, I am yours and you’re mine. Catching the flame, runaway passion You seek? Love the love and the haste of one’s feet As I walk towards you. Look away, And then, astray. In the lonely heart, you reside Smoke on the glass, blurring The panoramic views of short-lived misery. Looking at Me, looking at myself. The picture of comfort, to me You are a portrait of thirst. Soul searching another. Quiet being. Quite the lover. Our hearts alone, together.  -For my comrade

Silent footsteps aimlessly wandering Accompanied by feeble echoes of what once was. Overrun by the voice of a self-assured woman Who is? The sinking fibers of the manufactured carpet, crushing Awkwardly against each other, a limp Gaining in, on my position. Until; The voice comes to a standstill. I look at empty air. Hollow eyes meet hollow hearts, Filling spaces with words and voiceless sighs. An empowered spirit or broken? Smooth transitions, as if the world was intact.  The footsteps whispered to me, The news of the death of one. And two births.  -For myself
